Apply for a loan online — start your enquiry in about 2 minutes
Lumo Loans is a free online loan enquiry service. We're not a credit provider — we match South Africans to the registered credit providers most likely to help, so you don't have to fill in five different forms.
What you'll be asked
Our online loan application form is deliberately short. We only ask what a credit provider genuinely needs to see if you may be a fit — nothing more.
- Your full name and WhatsApp number
- Whether you have a valid South African ID
- Your employment situation and how long you've been earning
- Your net monthly income (as a range)
- Whether you have existing debt or are under debt review
- The loan amount and purpose you're considering
- Your consent for us to share your enquiry with matched providers
What "applying online" here really means
Submitting our form starts an enquiry, not a loan application in the legal sense. If a matched provider gets in touch, that's when the formal loan application, affordability assessment, and credit check happens — with them, not with us.
How long it takes
The form itself takes about two minutes. If you're matched, most credit providers on our panel aim to contact you the same day during business hours. Payout timing (if you accept a loan offer) depends entirely on the provider, their verification checks, and your bank's cut-off times.

Answer a few quick questions and we'll show which of our registered credit providers may be a fit. It takes about two minutes and won't affect your credit score.
Lumo Loans is a loan enquiry and referral service. We are not a credit provider. Any loan is subject to the credit provider's own criteria and affordability assessment, in line with the National Credit Act.
