Estimate only. Actual rates, fees, and repayment amounts depend on the credit provider, your credit profile, and their affordability assessment under the National Credit Act. Real loans include fees not shown here.
How the calculation works
We use a standard amortisation formula. The monthly repayment is calculated so that equal monthly payments cover the principal plus interest over the full term.
Why the actual number will differ
- Credit providers charge an initiation fee and a monthly service fee in addition to interest.
- Your personal interest rate depends on your credit profile — a stronger profile usually means a lower rate.
- Some providers offer optional credit life insurance, which is priced separately.
What is APR?
APR (annual percentage rate) is the yearly cost of borrowing expressed as a percentage. In South Africa, credit providers are capped by the National Credit Act — see our interest & fees page for more.
