What happens after you submit a loan enquiry

A walk-through of everything that happens after you send Lumo Loans your enquiry: matching, contact, verification, agreement, and payout.

Step 1: We match your profile

Within seconds of your submission, we compare your answers to the criteria of the registered credit providers on our panel.

Step 2: You get a reference number

You'll see a confirmation screen with a unique reference. Keep it for your records — if you ever need to contact us about your enquiry, that's the number we'll ask for.

Step 3: A matched provider contacts you

If there's a match, a real person from the credit provider calls or WhatsApps the number you gave us. If nobody matches, nobody will contact you.

Step 4: Formal application and assessment

The provider requests your documents, runs their credit and affordability checks, and either approves, declines, or offers you a different amount.

Step 5: Agreement and payout

If you accept the offer, you sign a credit agreement, DebiCheck confirms your debit order, and the funds are paid into your bank account.
